Something I wrote on International Women's Day:

If I had any relationship to 21st century feminism, it would be a very awkward one. If people insist that you're a feminist if you support women, then I would be a very bad, very awkward one.
Feminism used to be about equality and fair treatment, but today's feminism just seems constrictive and judgmental. I'm pro life, I'm against homosexuality and co.; and I'd love more than anything to have platonic coffee talk sessions with the opposite gender. I just don't fit anywhere in today's feminism, and I don't think they'd like to make room for me.
I don't mind that much, though. I think when you see any one earthly thing (such as men) as the cause for all the world's problems, it can make you sink into a dark, painful place. You become bitter, because it's like fixing a leak in a pipe that gushing water.
Men are not the problem. Nor are women. Sin is the problem, and if we operated more by Jesus' love and sacrifice, and our love for him, there would be a lot less crankiness and fighting and hurt feelings. At least in my corner of the house.

Happy Easter

"Who's done it?" cried Susan. "What does it mean? Is it more magic?"
"Yes!" said a great voice from behind their backs. "It is more magic." They looked round. There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

In Which Stuff Happens (and Coffee)

...In that I got the best cat in the world.  He was a furry therapist/anti-depressant to me, and we lost him last summer.

...In that I grew up a bit and got a life (and friends!).

...And in that I decided to share more of my writing, at the recommendation of one of said friends.  Because many friends can and often do make good recommendations (unless they're bank robbers), and I like making people laugh and think.  Also, transparency is a valuable thing.

Some say the Internet is like the One Ring - it grants invisibility, and corrupts many under its power into becoming mean, trolling, Gollum-like creatures.  I think it's had the opposite effect of making me sillier, and braver to say things I would be too shy to say in person. That can have its drawbacks, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

When I think about what to write, Peter Quill's words come to mind: "Something good, something bad - maybe a bit of both."  And that suits me just fine.

So.  Prepare for funny.  Prepare for weird.  And prepare for a bit of both.
