Endorse Alex and Brett's Book

Hi everyone,

I had a great Christmas, and I hope you did too.

I was looking at the Rebelution blog by Alex and Brett Harris, younger brothers of Joshua Harris. These guys are doing a great job at encouraging our generation to rise up against our culture's low expectations of us. They have written a book called Do Hard Things, which tells us how we can rise above everyone's expectations of us, including our own. The book will come out in April this coming year, and Alex and Brett would be greatly blessed if people would endorse their book.

You don't have to be an highly acclaimed author - they're looking for endorsements from fellow teens. Writing an endorsement is very easy, and they tell you how to do it on their blog.

You can access their post here.

We wish you a Merry Christnas............

Hi everyone,

I admit that I have not been living up to the promise that I would talk about Christmas traditions and all those lovely things.......................

I'M SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be briefly closing shop for the next 4-5 days, due to the fact that I will be celebrating the birth of our Savior, as well as opening presents, sleeping in late, chatting with relatives, eating roast beast (my word for roast beef.......watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas), and having FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, please enjoy these humble cyber gifts and our Savior's birth!

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Hi everyone,
That's right, everyone............CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew! I haven't blogged in a long time! I guess it was a good hiatus. But now that I'm back, it's time to get into the bloggy Christmas spirit! (*grins*)

While it's fun to get ready for Christmas (and believe me, I'm gonna talk a lot about it, hopefully), it's also good to remember the REASON for Christmas. I mean, it wouldn't make sense to have a celebration and lots of presents on someone's birthday and forget the reason for such an occasion, right? It's the same with Christmas. It's Jesus' birthday!

We must continually remember the night that God put on human skin and became a human baby, coming down as the son of a lowly teenager and her carpenter husband, so that He might become the Savior of mankind. Isn't that beautiful?

On the night before Christmas, please kneel before your bed and pray a prayer of Thanksgiving to the God who chose to save us!

That being said, let's celebrate Christmas in honor of Jesus' birth!

Check out this

Hi everyone,

I found something very interesting on the Drudge Report. Apparently, someone has been stealing (and wrecking) Christmas decorations in Florida. This includes nativity scenes and a Baby Jesus. A poor reindeer even got decapitated! Sounds like the Grinch, yes? Well, you remember what happened to the Grinch! He had stolen (or wrecked) Christmas decorations in Whoville, and expected all the Whos to be sad, whiny and complaining come Christmas morning.

To the Grinch's complete surprise, however, the Whos came out on Christmas Day, singing joyfully, because they knew that true Christmas joy comes not from presents, turkey, and holiday decorations. It comes from knowing that Jesus, our Savior, was born to save us.

When the Grinch saw this, his heart that was "two sizes too small" became two sizes too BIG! He discovered the joy of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, rushed down the mountain top with the bag of Christmas goodies he had stolen previously. The Grinch gave back all the stolen goods to their owners and joined the Whos in a Christmas feast. He had found the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope that the same happens to the ones who have stolen and wrecked the Christmas decorations. Granted, I'm sure they're not as mean as the Grinch, but I'm sure that they don't know the love of Jesus. Let us pray that they find the real Baby Jesus this Christmas season.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Um.......Hi everyone,

Now is it just my computer, or has the picture for this blog (the girl picking flowers) has suddenly been covered up by my message board. Does anyone with blogger know what this is all about? If so, could you please tell me how to fix this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

OH!!!!!!!! By the way, I happened to be surfing the Net on my pink cyber surf board, when I washed up onto the island of therebelution.com. Sweeeeet, dude! Anyway, this website is run by Josh Harris' (Author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye) brothers, Alex and Brett. Their goal is to encourage teens to rebel against our culture's low expectations of us, and work to become godly citizens and hard working citizens. Alex and Brett are also avid supporters of Mike Huckabee, a conservative presidential candidate. In fact, they were mentioned by Chuck Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger) on Fox TV, as having encouraged him to check Mike Huckabee out, which eventually led to Chuck's endorsement of Huckabee. Go to their blog and watch the video!

Sigh. Makes me wish I was old enough to vote! God willing, Huckabee will win!

Be Kind To A Blogger Day

Hi everyone,

This will be a short post, but I'm declaring tomorrow to officially be, "Be Kind To A Blogger Day." This means that all of you in the blogsphere must go out to a blog that you frequent and post a kind comment to a blogger. For example, if you go to Rocks In My Dryer, post a comment like, "That was a very nice post."

You can also go to http://www.actsofkindness.org/ to get ideas for random acts of kindness.

Have a nice day! : )

Aprons

Hi everyone,

Recently, my mom and I were looking for some pretty, feminine aprons, so we hopped into our chairs, revved up the computer, and began our quest. After a bit of searching (we found some nice apron sites on the way), my mom found a wonderful site called kitchenwears.com. The company sells what looks to me like Amish-style aprons with beautiful patterns and colors. Here are a few pictures:

Aren't they adorable? The prices are very fair too, ranging between $16.00 - $24.00 for women. They also have prices for little girls, too. One size fits all, and they're well made. My mom has already ordered for two or more aprons.
Yes! An apron that looks cute and feminine! Whoo hoo!
Happy weekend, everyone!

This is COOL!!!!!!!!

This is so cool! If you go to Google and click on "Language tools," you can translate your website into a number of foreign languages! I've already translated my site into Dutch. It's interesting to see how the words, "For the Gospel," look in another language. Isn't worldwide Christianity so cool??
Anyway, this is what my site looks like in French, Dutch, Greek, German, and Korean:
Try it for your own websites.......just go to language tools, go to "Translate web page," type in your address, click the language you'd like to translate to, and click, "Translate"!

Huckabee Ahead In The Primaries

Hi everyone,

Mike Huckabee, Christian conservative presidential candidate, has tied for first place in the Republican nominee primaries. I had to admit, I doubted that such a godly man would get so far, but I guess I was putting the cart before the horse, or something like that. But it's so wonderful that Mr. Huckabee has gone so far! Whoo hoo!!!!!!!! : )

Thanksgiving

Hi everyone,

As we sit down this Thursday to a delicious Thanksgiving turkey, let's remember and pray for the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan who are fighting for those countries' liberties. We are fortunate to be in a country where we're free from want, free from fear, free to worship, and freedom of speech. Let's pray that not only will the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the rest of the enslaved world will not only receive these freedoms, but Jesus Christ as well.

Hi everyone,

I haven't been blogging in quite a while. Don't worry, though. I'll try to get back to that. In the mean time, there's a list of books on the Girl Talk blog that's recommended by C.J. Friday Funnies

Hi, everyone,

Today, we will go international in jokes. I have a great Irish joke and a great German joke.

I got the Irish joke from my dad (who actually got it from a contruction worker from Georgia - go figure) and this is how it goes:

Three Irish guys are walking along and presently go through a cemetery. They're looking at the headmarkers, when one of them says, "Hey, this man here died at the age of 87 - that's a long time! His name was Patrick McDonald."

The second guy says, "Yeah, but this guy lived to be 103 years old! His name was Gregory O'Hara."

Then the last guy says, "Oh, yeah? Well THIS guy lived to be 189 years old!"

"What was his name?" asked the others.

"Miles to Dublin," replied the guy.

Now for the German joke:

There's an army private who is posted with his regiment at a barracks. He keeps walking around and picks up pieces of paper. Every time he picks a piece of paper up, he says, "That's not it," and keeps going.

Finally, the private's sergeant worries about him and has him evaluated. The doctor determines him to be crazy and tells the sergeant to release the private.

The sergeant hands the private the resignation notice and the private looks at it, smiles and says, "That's it!"

Happy Friday, everyone.

Friday Funnies

Hi everyone,

Here's another joke about crazy people (that would be me.........just kidding!)

There was this man in a mental hospital. All day he would put his ear to the wall and listen. The doctor would watch this guy do this day after day. The doctor finally decided to see what the guy was listening to, so he put his ear up to the wall and listened. He heard nothing. He turned to the mental patient and said, "I don't hear anything." The mental patient said, "Yeah, I know. It's been like that for months!"

Happy weekend, everybody!

Check out this.........

Hi everyone,
This is part of an e-mail that was sent by my grandpa. It's a thought-provoking message, and helps identify some of the problems we face with politics, gun-control, and Christianity. Enjoy!
DARRELL SCOTT TESTIMONY:
On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out>in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. ..neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need!
Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence and when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point ! your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
Please send this out to everyone you can.

Hollywood and Blasphemy

Hi everyone,

I have just watched a video by Ray Comfort (Host of Way of the Master) who interviewed Christian people in Hollywood, asking them different questions, such as if they watched R-rated movies (most of them said yes) and if they went to movies that took God's name in vain even though they knew that it did so (some of them said yes). There were other questions amongst these, but what Ray Comfort was trying to get across is that many movies have lots of blasphemy in them. There are also many Christians who contribute to the movie-watching population (over 70%!!!!!!!!!). Therefore, if blasphemy is against the Ten Commandments, shouldn't we then avoid movies that had curse words and said God's name in vain?
Think about it. If the whole 70% of Christian viewers basically boycotted the movies that said God's name in vain and had curse words, it would radically effect the Hollywood industry (possibly costing millions of dollars). Therefore, Hollywood could start to make movies with less blasphemy. If that is done, then it would effect the American population at large, possibly persuading them to not blaspheme God's name as much.
While we're not trying to force Hollywood out of business, we ARE trying to persuade it to go back to the standard it had up to 1968, which was good language. Can I get an Amen here, people?
Now then, go on over to http://www.hollywoodandgod.com/ by Mr. Comfort himself (I love that last name!) to see what I'm talking about.
And if you want to come back here for refreshments, I'll have a Friday Funny for you! :)
And now, the Friday Funny...............From The Mouths of Children part 2

Friday Funnies

Hi everyone,
For those of you who are wondering what happened to the Thursday blog post, I decided to delete. Through the wise counsel of wise friends, I realized that the post wasn't the right way to say what I wanted to say. My apologies to those who were misled by the post. Instead of being "rebels," we should be examples to those around us of Christ's love. We should stand out not by ranting and raving about how America's going down the drain, but by being kind, loving, humble, patient, peaceful and gentle. In these things among others, will we be a shining light to the world.

That said, let's get onto Friday Funnies!

This is a joke I got from a classmate:

A person was walking beside a psychiatric hospital, when he heard someone inside saying, "34..............34...............34............34," over and over again. As he continued to walk beside the wall, the voice got louder and louder. Finally, the person discovered a hole in the wall. It was at eye-level, and was large enough to peep through.

The person peeped through it, and immediately, he got poked in the eye!

Then you could hear someone say, "35.......35.........35...........35......."

My Thoughts On Life

Hi everyone,

I haven't been blogging for a bit. I need to get back to that. I am resolved to not abandon my blog for months on end, leaving you readers in suspense! Here are some things that have been happening lately:

New York fall fashions are looking more (gasp!) modest? - Do I hear the "Hallelujah Chorus" coming on?

Hooray! Al-Qaeda in Iraq is basically crushed!

There's going to be a Ladies' Night at Covenant Life Church, where the main speaker is going to be Carolyn Mahaney herself! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, her husband, C. J. Mahaney, preached a great sermon yesterday! I wish you would have been there!

My cat is getting mischievous..............and fatter. Despite her belly that hung beneath her, Heather somehow managed to jump up onto the kitchen counter - OFF LIMITS for kitties!

I found this adorable if not scary picture of a toddler and his mom's feet.

This is funny but awful at the same time. Poor Mom.

This uproariously funny video:

Whoo! I'm already tuckered from laughing so much at the video! Goodnight, everyone. Pleasant dreams. Snuggle into your little bed, lay your sleepy head on those soft pillows, pull the covers up around you, and say "Goodnight" to God. God will always be watching you.

Cheese Puffs and Politics

Hi everyone,

Now you might think that the title above is a peculiar title, but it has meaning to me! First off, the cheese puffs. When I was younger, I couldn't eat cheese puffs because it made me sick (either it was the cheese powder or I was a little piggy!). Lately, I've discovered that either my stomach's aversion to this delicious treat has disappeared, or I have grown up and learned to chew my food! Yesterday, I gloried in this new-found discovery by eating almost an entire bag of Herr's Cheese-Puffs, and man, were they good! Here's a picture of them!

Now then - the second part of the title. Politics. On Sunday, I heard a sermon by Josh Harris on a section in 1 Corinthians - the "Love Chapter". Josh told us that we were to be kind to everyone, including those we don't like very much. Now I am a staunch Conservative (I'm not even old enough to vote yet!) and believe me, the thought of a particular politician flew to my mind, but I will not tell who he/she is. I realized that I needed to be kind to those who are my political "enemies".

I think that George Washington said it best in his Farewell Address, when he warned for political parties to not be bloodthirsty enemies. How did we respond to that? We did the exact opposite, and we're still reaping the bitter consequences. If only we could all be more loving towards each other, regardless if we're a Conservative or Liberal!

I suggest that whenever we hear that something goes wrong in the political world, we should not seethe against the perpetrator in anger, but pray for them in love. God listens to our prayers, and He is greatly pleased when we love our enemies. It can be hard (I am no exception to the rules; belive me, my blood can boil when it comes to politics), but we can ask God for help and try to be shining examples.

But that doesn't mean that we stay silent. We should not only pray for those on the other side of the political spectrum, but also set out to be an example for them. We should also try to "fight back peacefully". This means that while we should fight to keep the morals in America, we should not frown at a person protesting the Iraq War.

Liberals, I'm not excluding you either. Even though Conservatives might not agree with what you have to say, be kind to them! We're all human beings, and we suffer from the disease of hatred - the remedy for this is God's love.

So I propose that tomorrow be, "Go Hug A Liberal/Conservative Day!" Seriously though, DON'T hug them. They might think you're a little creepy. But if it's a relative, then by all means!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to *ahem* find a relative to hug!

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." - 1 John 4:7

Friday Funnies

Hi everyone,

Today was a very nice day. The cookies were very good and I highly recommend them. I might eat my words and type out that recipe, but not today (sorry, cookie lovers!). Instead, I'm going to serve up a plate of Friday Funnies!

Here they are!

The Sounds of the Grocery Store
The new supermarket near my house has an automatic water mister to keep produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of thunder and the smell of fresh rain.
When you approach the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and witness the scent of fresh hay.
When you approach the egg casem you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.
The veggie department features the sound of a gentle breeze and the smell of fresh buttered corn.
I don't buy toilet paper there any more.
Next are a few funny videos by David Dean.
The first one is for you Moms and Dads out there. Kids can watch too - it's funny for the whole family.
The next one is the difference between the way men and women see humor. Hang onto your funny bones!
That's all for now, folks!

I'm Back

Hi everyone,

Gee whiz, it's been a long time since I've been blogging! But I'm back. Tomorrow, I going to my Grandma's house, where we're going to bake cheesecake and cookies! All courtesy of the Cake Mix Doctor, of course. I'd give out the recipe, but I don't think Mrs. Byrne (the Cake Mix Doctor) would appreciate me giving away all her secrets. You'll just have to buy the books and bake those yummy treats yourself!

In other news, I've been assigned a year-long project about anything I want to write about (within reason). Those kinds of reports are nice. So I chose to do the Holocaust

From what I've seen already from the Holocaust websites, the Holocaust was so much more gruesome than anyone can imagine. Please pray for the Holocaust survivors and their descendants, that they may know that Jesus heals all wounds, and that He cares about His people.

It's getting late, so I'm afraid I'll have to go. Goodnight and God bless!

Viva la Rebelution!

That's right folks...................

That's what this blog is all about...............rebelling against our culture's expectations of us. Instead of being lazy, rebellious, immoral teenagers, we're going to be modest, respectful, hard-working teens! Hopefully, our generation will not be remembered as the "Me" generation, but the "DO Hard Things" generation.

And leading the race is Alex and Brett Harris.

Alex and Brett Harris are the brothers of Joshua Harris, the author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl: Say Hello to Courtship. I highly recommend these two books; they'll change the way you look at relationships!
As the brothers of Joshua Harris and the sons of Gregg and Sono Harris (leading members of the homeschooling movement), these two obviously had to commit their part in this amazing family. So..............they started with a little blog called "The Rebelution".
What the Rebelution blog is about, is that as Christian teens, we're supposed to set an example for our peers, and not conform to what our culture expects of us. Therefore, we're supposed to adhere to what GOD expects of us! This battle against culture (so called "The culture wars") is thus so aptly called "The Rebelution".
I recommend that you hop on over right now to the website (it's on my link list) and see how you can join the Rebelution Army................doing what God expects of you and what culture doesn't.

10 lessons from the Princess Bride

Hi everyone,

I just found this cool list of lessons from The Princess Bride. The Princess Bride is a funny story, and I love the quote, "Bye-bye boys.............have fun storming the castle!" It's a wonderful movie, full of action, romance and a little bit of humor. But anyway, here are the lessons learned:

10 Things I've learned from the Princess Bride:

1. It's possible, with the right strategy, to best a giant.

2. Outsmarting the one who thinks he is smartest of all is not inconceivable. Pride creates vulnerability.

3. Don't believe everything you hear. It appears people can actually survive the fire-swamp.

4. The obvious bad guy isn't always the bad guy, but a reputation can be bigger than reality.

5. Reciting your name and life's purpose with passion to everyone you meet can gain you the resources you need to reach your goal. Plus win you a few lifelong friends along the way.

6. Good fighting is as much about style as it is about skill. Add style to your skills because style is more fun to watch.

7. The six fingered man was wicked then and he's wicked now. Pay attention to track records they tell a true story.

8. There is such a thing as true love if you are willing to fight to the death for it.

9. Having a great gift for rhyme can bring levity during a difficult time... I mean it. Anybody want a peanut? A sense of humor is priceless.

10. Fairy tales are a great reminder that happy endings are possible if you believe in them. We sacrifice for those things we believe in.

I highly recommend watching The Princess Bride. It's a little bit scary, but don't worry............there's a happy ending. And think, this applies to the Christian life too, and Westley's love for his girl is like God's love for us!

Blogroll

Hi everyone,

I'm going to go on a blogroll today! I haven't been doing a lot of blogging lately, but now I'm going to put on three new posts! Hang onto your hats folks, 'cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

The first order of business is that I have discovered new and wonderful about my little brother (who is now taller than me...........even though he's at the threshold of his teenage years and I'm well into the middle of it!). My brother can draw!

My brother showed us a picture of Mr. Peanut that he drew. It looked remarkably good. He did it for art homework, and he had a Planters Peanut can in front of him while he drew! He said he wanted to draw the cat, but she didn't want to be drawn. But the picture was remarkable! I'm sorry that I can't show you what the picture looks like, because I don't know how to download drawings onto the computer, but I'll show you Mr. Planter instead!

I'm so proud of my brother! Apparently, he and I inherited both our grandmothers' ability to draw well!

It's kind of a neat moment for a Christian artist when they draw, make music, etc. It almost makes you wonder, "Is this the way God felt when He created the world?" I'm sure though, that God loved His creation more than we ever loved any drawing or painting we ever made........I mean, c'mon..............who ever made a living, breathing creature with just their voice? It just shows you how powerful God is, and how merciful He is in His love for us, that He would send Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins!

Friday Funnies

Hi everyone,
For those of you who are complimentarians (believing that men and women were created by God to compliment each other), I, being a complimentarian myself, have come up with two jokes, which may sound silly, but have truth to them:

"A wife never takes charge unless her husband is slumped over the wheel of the car."

"A man should never yell at his wife unless she pours coffee onto his lap."

Have a great weekend, everyone! For the Gospel!

September 11

Hi everyone,

Of course you know that it's Patriot Day. It's so sad what's happened on that fateful day. But on a day of tragedy, God chose to bring healing. Please pray for those who were affected by 9/11 and for those who lost family. Pray that our nation will more resilient than ever to fight evil and return to Christianity.

Friday Funnies

Hi everyone,

Here's the Friday Funny! Today, it's 'B.C.'.

In other news, I wore my new shirt today. My mom and I went to Belk a little bit ago, and a woman happened to spot the message on my t-shirt. She declared that Jesus died for her space in Heaven too and that God is a comfort in present troubles. She honestly didn't know how people could live without God. Isn't that wonderful? It's great when you meet a fellow Christian in this grimy world of ours! The woman said that her husband loved those kinds of shirts, and she called him over to come look at it! That was so cool! My mom and I told them that you could find them at the Christian bookstore, which was close by. Jesus is King! Have a great weekend!

Crocs Rock!

Hi everyone!
My mom and I have been struck by Croc fever!!!!!!!! We first saw them at a shoe department in our mall, and we thought they were okay. Then I saw one of my friends wearing a bright green pair of Crocs and they were cute! My interest grew even more when I saw a picture of Josh Harris, the pastor of our church and the author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye, wearing a pair of Crocs on his own two feet (along with his cute kids!). My mom looked at them and soon we got hooked! My mom just bought me a pair. They're Mary-Janes (what a pretty name!) in chocolate brown! Not only are they stylish, but I'll be able to wear them at school! At my school, we wear uniforms (Friday is "Dress Your Way Day") and the only color shoes we can have are brown, navy and white shoes. This is perfect! God is so good!

But wait, there's more! Not only did I get a pair of Crocs, but my mom surprised me with a new Christian t-shirt! This rocks! Stylish shoes and being a banner for Jesus Christ! This is a picture of the t-shirt my mom got me.

Isn't it cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But of course, all these things are nothing compared to the gift of salvation Jesus Christ gave to us. Can I get an Amen?

In other news, I'll be proudly attending the wedding of the world's cutest couple, Tyler and Elea! Pray that I don't start crying! Usually, I don't cry at weddings, but these two are my friends, and they're sooooooooo sweet! But anyway, I'm sure that the wedding will be just beautiful. God is so good.

And now, I must start updating my blog!
