Endorse Alex and Brett's Book

Hi everyone,

I had a great Christmas, and I hope you did too.

I was looking at the Rebelution blog by Alex and Brett Harris, younger brothers of Joshua Harris. These guys are doing a great job at encouraging our generation to rise up against our culture's low expectations of us. They have written a book called Do Hard Things, which tells us how we can rise above everyone's expectations of us, including our own. The book will come out in April this coming year, and Alex and Brett would be greatly blessed if people would endorse their book.

You don't have to be an highly acclaimed author - they're looking for endorsements from fellow teens. Writing an endorsement is very easy, and they tell you how to do it on their blog.

You can access their post here.

We wish you a Merry Christnas............

Hi everyone,

I admit that I have not been living up to the promise that I would talk about Christmas traditions and all those lovely things.......................

I'M SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But...........I WILL leave you a link to a fellow blogger's wise words about Christmas. I will ALSO give you some new links, as well as a link to some frugal last-minute Christmas traditions. My present to you.

I will be briefly closing shop for the next 4-5 days, due to the fact that I will be celebrating the birth of our Savior, as well as opening presents, sleeping in late, chatting with relatives, eating roast beast (my word for roast beef.......watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas), and having FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, please enjoy these humble cyber gifts and our Savior's birth!

It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Hi everyone,
That's right, everyone............CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew! I haven't blogged in a long time! I guess it was a good hiatus. But now that I'm back, it's time to get into the bloggy Christmas spirit! (*grins*)

While it's fun to get ready for Christmas (and believe me, I'm gonna talk a lot about it, hopefully), it's also good to remember the REASON for Christmas. I mean, it wouldn't make sense to have a celebration and lots of presents on someone's birthday and forget the reason for such an occasion, right? It's the same with Christmas. It's Jesus' birthday!

We must continually remember the night that God put on human skin and became a human baby, coming down as the son of a lowly teenager and her carpenter husband, so that He might become the Savior of mankind. Isn't that beautiful?

On the night before Christmas, please kneel before your bed and pray a prayer of Thanksgiving to the God who chose to save us!

That being said, let's celebrate Christmas in honor of Jesus' birth!

Check out this

Hi everyone,

I found something very interesting on the Drudge Report. Apparently, someone has been stealing (and wrecking) Christmas decorations in Florida. This includes nativity scenes and a Baby Jesus. A poor reindeer even got decapitated! Sounds like the Grinch, yes? Well, you remember what happened to the Grinch! He had stolen (or wrecked) Christmas decorations in Whoville, and expected all the Whos to be sad, whiny and complaining come Christmas morning.

To the Grinch's complete surprise, however, the Whos came out on Christmas Day, singing joyfully, because they knew that true Christmas joy comes not from presents, turkey, and holiday decorations. It comes from knowing that Jesus, our Savior, was born to save us.

When the Grinch saw this, his heart that was "two sizes too small" became two sizes too BIG! He discovered the joy of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, rushed down the mountain top with the bag of Christmas goodies he had stolen previously. The Grinch gave back all the stolen goods to their owners and joined the Whos in a Christmas feast. He had found the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope that the same happens to the ones who have stolen and wrecked the Christmas decorations. Granted, I'm sure they're not as mean as the Grinch, but I'm sure that they don't know the love of Jesus. Let us pray that they find the real Baby Jesus this Christmas season.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Um.......Hi everyone,

Now is it just my computer, or has the picture for this blog (the girl picking flowers) has suddenly been covered up by my message board. Does anyone with blogger know what this is all about? If so, could you please tell me how to fix this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

OH!!!!!!!! By the way, I happened to be surfing the Net on my pink cyber surf board, when I washed up onto the island of therebelution.com. Sweeeeet, dude! Anyway, this website is run by Josh Harris' (Author of I Kissed Dating Goodbye) brothers, Alex and Brett. Their goal is to encourage teens to rebel against our culture's low expectations of us, and work to become godly citizens and hard working citizens. Alex and Brett are also avid supporters of Mike Huckabee, a conservative presidential candidate. In fact, they were mentioned by Chuck Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger) on Fox TV, as having encouraged him to check Mike Huckabee out, which eventually led to Chuck's endorsement of Huckabee. Go to their blog and watch the video!

Sigh. Makes me wish I was old enough to vote! God willing, Huckabee will win!
